OSCAR DE LA RENTA BELLA BLANCA

Have you heard the tale of a white and a black box? It's a narrative about a certain man whose father, on his death bed, bequethed him two boxes, with the instruction to open the white one when everything seems worst and hopeless and the black one in instance of greatest bliss. The man suffered and worked the hardest jobs without any progress, and one day, exhausted and desperate, he decided to commit suicide. But then he suddenly remembered his father's words and opened the white box. Within there was a piece of paper with the record: „This shall pass too“. Understanding the message as old man's encouragment and impetus not to give up fighting and struggling, he continued to work and soon the fortune smiled upon him, he became wealthy, got married and blessed with children and lived a happy existence. After some time, while enjoying in his home, surrounded by his family, he thought how lucky he is and recalled his father and the black box. Inside he also found a paper with identical inscription: „This shall pass too“. This story always storms through my mind when I'm stuck in difficult circumstances. Heraclitus asserted that change is the only constant in life, and looking at my own I realize that it is truly so – no matter how good or bad something might be, nothing lasts forever and it changes. I'm aware that many people oppose and try to avoid change, but I consider it as a stairway by which we ascend, upgrade, improve and evolve as a person. The most astonishing reminder of how much change can be gorgeous are definitely the seasons, especially the spring. Following the winter whiteness and a brief interlude of shadowy greyness, the dormant nature begins to awake, exuberant in delicate verdancy, in dancing treetops wreathed by white and pink bloom, in sweet odor of fresh dewy grass, in rhapsody of flowers and birdsong. Such moments illustrates ineffable, enchanting fairness and leave me breathless, and Oscar de la Renta succeeded to sublimate the very essence of spring into Bella Blanca perfume.
Óscar Arístides Renta Fiallo, better known as Oscar de la Renta, after acquiring knowledge, skills and expertise of fashion designer in Balenciaga, Lanvin and Balmain studios for which he was devising haute couture collections, distinguished himself in the 60s as couturier of Jacqueline Kennedy and her succesors. In 2014., George W. Bush Presidential Center set up an exhibition titled „Oscar de la Renta: Five Decades of Style“, featuring creations for numerous movie stars, mrs. Bush, Clinton and other first ladies of America, among them the wedding dress of Amal Clooney. One of the most adamant de la Renta's fans is Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, and for official appearances she gladly and often chooses his elegant dresses that celebrates femininity.
In a harmonious balance with the testimony that he loves light, luminosity and fullness of vibrant shades, his gowns exudes meticulous precision of dresses for 21st century princesses. Perhaps you're not acquainted, but Oscar's way of serene relaxing manifested itself in gardening, as he explained in the exalted mannerism of playing with colors. So flowers, beyond any surprise, served as an inspiration for Bella Blanca perfume. The principal attribute of each perfume is scent, but apart from the aroma, this one triumphs in the precious gracefulness, almost artwork of its packaging. An intricate web of details perpetuated in dresses is sewn into Bella Blanca perfume, while the white box with golden particularities is ornamented with a pattern perfectly exact to that on the bottle.
The front side is embowered with a three-dimensional scheme of white flowers and leaves, whose magical calling I simply couldn't resist. The combination of white and golden colors is universally winning, and the central part is occupied by a plaque with the brand's and perfume's names. The source of comprehensive, enlightening muse lies in the garden or, as de la Renta spoke, the place of purest spiritual mirth that mirrors the unity of nature and beauty in their fundamental forms. I'm unable to accentuate enough how much I agree with this wonderful formulation, because I too am an individual who immensely revere the nature and I strive to spend as much time as possible besieged by its visual, olfactory and auditory charms.
The Bella Blanca fragrance, through the upper flares of pear, green leaves and lily of the valley, the heart chords of rose, jasmine, orange blossom and tuberose, and base notes of creamy sandalwood, iris root and silky musk, embodies the sensual quiddity of Oscar de la Renta's woman, and due to above mentioned characteristics it's classified in the category of floral with woody and musky tinges.
Lately, as far as I'm concerned, it can boast in the exclusive status of my repertoire. When I wear it, and to claim that it recently happens on frequent occasions would be an understatement, it evokes a synesthesia of the spring morning transcedented by a cheerful twitter of birds, of deep blue of the infinite skies, of the azure vastness bathe in auric rays of sun, of flourishing fragile petals sprinkled by droplets of warm rain, of wind chiming  in amber sheafs of swaying wheat, of life-giving and unexcelled force of majestic nature.

  16. I love that story about the black and the white box. I heard the same story but in a slightly different version. There is also a short story in which a character wears a ring with this inscription- This too shall pass. She looks at it both when she feels happy and sad and it makes her emotions more balanced.

I do love this packaging. This Oscar de la Renta perfume bottle is so gorgeous.
