LA MER THE SOFT FLUID LONG WEAR FOUNDATION SPF 20 – BISQUE 21

When we talk about life experiences or product acquiring, I believe there are three kinds of people in the world. Those who adhere to familiar paths, do not like the change and stay faithful to what is known to them, whether they order the same meal at a restaurant, travel to work via the same routes or pick the same combination of vanilla and chocolate ice cream. The exact opposite are those who entusiastically endeavor in something new, who are almost afraid that they won't have time to unearth everything, who constantly strive to diversity and who doesn't worry of being disappointed if what they find shows itself as unappreciable. The third variety are people who lives in equilibrium, have their own proven routines that they trust, but are also ready and open for novelties. I used to belong to the first group, loved my certainty, my established habits and the fact that I know what to expect at any moment, but that gradually changed. I realized that I locked and limited myself in a box, that there are countless other roads to march on, innumerable opportunities and products which I would never encounter if I continued to stubbornly follow the self-imposed rules. That's when I came across a quote: „Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.“ and grasped all its veracity. Of course, strepping into the unknown can be disheartening because we can't be sure what awaits on the other side, but the excitement of lifting the curtains and revealing formerly hidden horizons has become my life energy which now accompanies me quotidianly and is responsible for purchasing La Mer The Soft Fluid Long Wear Foundation.
It may sound ludicrous, but when you discover a cosmetic item that provides what's needed, you frequently and gladly reverse to it and sometimes have no desire to look further. This happend to me with Bobbie Brown Intensive Skin Serum liquid foundation, mainly because it offered me a 3-in-1 solution: a base that ensures coverage and multi-hour persistency, SPF 20 which is superior than in some creams and shields from harnful sunrays, and a serum that nourishes the skin. After depleting the last drop I went to obtain another one, but walking through the store, browsing and assessing different products, in the end I decided for La Mer The Soft Fluid Long Wear Foundation. Thanks to La Mer The Reparative Skintint I was introduced to the history and supreme caliber of the brand, so I wanted to check how this foundation would behave. I've read about it and watched YouTube videos sparkling with laudatory remarks, and the list of admirers ranged from celebrities to ordinary girls and women around the globe, confirming the stellar and bestseller status.
The Soft Fluid Long Wear Foundation, along The Reparative Skintint, The Sheer Pressed Powder, The Concealer, The Powder and The Luminous Lifting Cushion Foundation, is a part of the same La Mer Skincolor collection designed for nutritive and healing hydration in conjunction with a glittery color that erases facial imperfections and vitalizes the skin. The official site emphasizes immaculate, natural, weightless, upgradable and consistent tint in a luxurious and long-lasting formula that integrates nouveau color capsule technology, beneficial moisturizing and Miracle Broth. It embodies the nursing, vigorous and renewing soul of Crème de La Mer and it's present in virtually every La Mer preparation, while due to aforementioned technology the color retains its character even in humid conditions. That's the paramount reason why I treated myself with this triple-action product: powder conceals blemishes, renders them invisible, polishes the wrinkles and resurfaces oily-free glow, SPF and antioxidants maintains impeccable appearance, and Miracle Broth serum hydrates and regenerates the skin. Thus the higher price is justified and you don't have to buy powder and serum separately.
The Soft Fluid comes in a 30 ml shaded glass bottle, the silver pump on top allows precise dosage, and I apply it with beauty blender, upon when it seamlessly fuses with the skin. The wonderful floral scent fades quickly, but if you're not a fan of aromatized facial care preparations, ask for a sample in advance. It doesn't slip into pores and fine lines and it doesn't cause a sense of weight on the face, on the contrary, it leaves the impression of second and better skin. Occasionally I wear the substrate for half a day, 10 to 12 hours, but it's equalized on all areas, without fix-ups. Medium intensity coating is what personally suits me perfectly – I'm not inclined toward heavy finish, just a little coloring to balance the whole face and accentuate the naturalness. It is possible to ameliorate it with extra layers, but to anyone who prefers full coverage, I would reccomend to avoid this foundation. Anyhow, it's convenient for all skin types and available in 21 hues, of which mine is Bisque 21. I must say however that this number is a small disadvantage as I find that among 21 nuances many women cannot single out the ideal one for themselves, rather they have to mix them to desired results.
As I wrote earlier, powders are not a welcomed feature during summer and most oftenly I use only creams with protective factor, BB creams or La Mer The Skintint. I tested The Soft Fluid for several days and the outcome emerged absolutely satisfactory: my skin was breathing normally, powder wasn't too expressive, and my face was particularly moisturized and shiny. I received a lot of compliments and questions regarding what am I doing with my face, which cream am I utilizing, and I think I owe it all to Miracle Broth formulation that by regular practise generates a fantastic effect. Over the year, especially in summer months, SPF is extremely important to me and I hesitate to go outside if my face is not properly guarded, so I was very happy that it was included.
Although I noted at the beginning of this post that I'm prone to experiment and evaluate new products, I still have my favorite range that thrills me, to which I keep returning and which is a criterion for quality. La Mer The Soft Fluid Foundation is one of its segments on basis of which I appraise all other liquid powders and foundations, principally because the visible plumpness and hydration, and as the day progresses the upshot grows stronger so the skin becomes softer and more beautiful. This is something I would've hoped for from preparative cosmetics, not decorative, so my fascination is not surprising. SPF, steady color, sumptuous care, gorgeous skin – these are all the virtues that nominates this foundation, in a bulk of past ones which can't be compared to it, as my first choice in the long run.

  4. I have been trying many new things lately, and sometimes I wonder if that's wrong?? It's good to be content with what you know also. But then again, I don't want to miss out on something even better!!
Foundation is one of those things that makes such a difference that once you find a good one, it's hard to try others.

  8. It sounds like a lovely foundation! It's nice it's not full coverage - I don't like anything too thick when I do wear makeup, I'm just wearing it to the office so it doesn't have to stand up to much, haha! Light to medium coverage is all I need, I should look into this!

Hope that you had a great weekend! :)

Thanks for the review on this- I agree, having SPF in a formula is so key!
