BEAUTY OF INTUITION

I recurrently find myself musing on how marvelous creatures we humans are. It's something that mesmerizes me and I just adore to watch documentaries about our biology. I'm permanently amazed at how our brain functions and at which speed it absorbs and disperses informations, how our body literarly obeys the impulses it delivers, how lungs transmit oxygen into the bloodstream, and how heart regulates the opportune flow through veins and arteries. I can't even imagine what would life resembled if breathing or heart beats would depend on us, that is, when we'd be obliged to concentrate on each breath and prepare and activate all necessary organs. I am focused on every inhale and exhale exclusively during meditation, but for the rest of the day I'm not aware of them. Also, I unable to fathom the situation that would compel us to mull over the slightest movement which we make, to issue commands to muscles for each next step while pacing and simultaneously to supervise the whole procedure. Precisely due to the fact that all of this is served to us, that our brain do most of the work so that we can walk, swim, run or ride a bike without difficulties, I'm baffled with the constant whining and depression on account of looks, a few excessive kilograms or cellulite. I see this as a fundamental problem, the hectic concern and obsession with external appearance. The interior structure, in this case physical, is what we should really admire because we're alive thanks to it. Immaculate skin or perfect facial features would not stand a chance if only one integral component of this impressive mechanism fail to perform its task, but we rarely pay attention and take it for granted, not to mention sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch and kinesthetic senses. However, we are bestowed with another gift, uncredited and ignored by some, but widely appreciated and purposely recognized by multitude, which is intuition.
The word is derived from the Latin verb intueri (consider), denoting an immediate insight and direct comprehension, ie the ability, without succesive and conceptual cerebration, to cognicise entirety and all of its parts at once, and to grasp the very essence of the subject. Many classifies it in the realm of mystical, ethereal and inexplicable, so it's usually associated with the notions of sixth sense, inner voice, extra-sensory perception, subconscious and unconscious mind. Intuition is an inevitable topic of philosophical and psychological deliberations, and while Carl Gustav Jung believes that it represents instinctive intellection and deems it irrational, his colleague Gary Klein declares that 90% of crucial resolutions is based on it. In his book „Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking“, Malcolm Gladwell reinforces this thesis and explains that intuition-driven decisions more often culminates with better outcomes, rather than reliance on some practical tools such as writing down pros and cons. Perhaps the secret lies in that we, in certain circumstances, don't need to over-scrutinize, but act instantly. Therefore, claims of successful people about listening to their heart and the voice within them in critical and milestone situations are not surprising at all, when they simply knew that what they were doing is valid. One of the greatest minds of 20th century, Albert Einstein, has stated: „The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.“ In addition, he persistently crowned intuition as the sole true value.
Intuition is an area hard to reach by pure logic so it's easily dismissed, and the science place it in the right brain's hemisphere which is dominated by imprudence. In 1981., neurobiologist Roger Sperry, along with David Hubel and Torsten Wiesel, received the Nobel prize for his theory of dividing brain capacity into right and left halves. The latter governs objective reasoning rooted in analysis and synthesis of sensuous-obtained data and mirrors the so-called male principle and scholarly thought. In contrast, female tenet reflects imagination, creativity and intuition. In the book „Women Who Run With the Wolves“, intuition is illustrated as richness of female psyche, similar to dowsing device or to a crystal that emanates the infallible spiritual vision, and reminds of the wise old woman who follows and advise us on which path to embark. Countless famous ladies confided to intuition, including Marilyn Monroe who once announced: „A woman knows by intuition, or instinct, what is best for herself.“ To be blessed with that kind of exquisite guiding system and to neglect it is absolutely flabbergasting, and recently I've read that it doesn't refer to any mysterious premonition or clairvoyance, but to something that the mind has pre-processed before it manifested itself in consciousness. The absence of an exact stronghold has the epilogue in non-acceptance, but I'm convinced that the universal measure of human judgement is what we feel in the depths of our own being. Even when our surroundings views it as bewildering or condemnable, it only matters that we're happy and in concurrence with our choices. Quite a number of individuals, partly desiring to inflame their ego, aspire to delve into every single occurence and to keep everything under strict control, but with intuition you're embracing something invisble, an adamant creed in positive result. Various methods and exercises to approach it are available, contemplation and previously cited meditation, but this is not an ordinary feature that can be learned. As love, you can't master the knowledge of how to love someone, it's an emotion that consumes and overwhelms you unreservedly and you are assured in its authentic legitimacy. I'm a person whose daily life is, so to say, almost conditioned by intuition, for which I could display an array of evidence, from college exams when out of four offered answers, if I didn't knew the correct one, I would circle up the first that popped in my mind and guessed accurately, to solving of some significant existential dilemmas and doubts. Jalāl ad-Dīn Rūmī spoke: „There is a voice that doesn't use words. Listen.“ Are you listening?

  32. Lovely products and I agree, intuition is so hard to explain but so very valuable! I notice it as a mother, I might not have the degrees and the knowledge the doctors do but I'm able to know my kids well enough to speak up for them when they need it. I just feel it!

Hope that you are having a great weekend! I went out to a fashion show last night, it was a lot of fun :)

  33. Learning about the human body is interesting. The fact that we have so many different parts working to keep us function. Even moreso when we sleep, our body still functions without our control. Oooh I haven't heard of Biotherm before. I have been looking at different skincare products lately.
